Bringing Hearts Together: Crafting an Interactive Fundraising Site for Rustic Love

Gimga web team was tasked with creating an interactive fundraising website for Rustic Love, a Vienna-based organization dedicated to aiding food-insecure families. We designed a site inspired by their heart-shaped mural, allowing donors to click on various hearts within the digital mural to make a donation. As a proud member of the Vienna business community for over a decade, we couldn’t imagine a better way to give back to our community.

“We couldn’t be more pleased with the outcome of our mural website project. The team at Gimga Design Group went above and beyond in every way – from their big picture ideas to the small, customized site details, and especially the design work on the artistically rendered images! Every team member was professional, talented and a pleasure to work with. Thank you, Gimga Team!”

– Michelle Connors, Founder and Executive Director at Rustic Love

Gimga Shines at the 2024 RAMMY Awards Gala with K-Food Delights

At the July 2024 RAMMY Awards gala, Gimga proudly showcased a range of K-Food products, cuisine, spirits, and snacks for the ninth consecutive year. In partnership with the Embassy of Korea and the Korea Agro-Fisheries and Food Trade Corp (aT), this year’s theme celebrated Jang, the essential fermented sauces in Korean cuisine. Leading up to the event, Gimga created engaging social media and print materials, secured sponsors, and curated goodie bags for gala guests. Over 1,000 attendees visited the K-Food booth, sampled our offerings, engaged with our staff, and left with a smile and a K-Food goodie bag.

Gimga Energizes the Asian Festival on Main

Celebrating AAPHI Month, in May Gimga had the pleasure of collaborating with the Old Town Fairfax Business Association for their annual Asian Festival on Main. Tasked with boosting event awareness and expanding its reach, our team devised a comprehensive marketing and social media strategy. We created a posting calendar and assigned individual responsibilities to ensure effective promotion. In addition to our preparatory work, Gimga team members attended the festival, capturing and sharing live images and videos throughout the event.

The “Reel” Deal!

The Colony of Wellfleet, a Cape Cod hotel known for its mid-century modern Bauhaus cottages has been a staple of Gimga’s marketing efforts for nearly a decade. This summer, with the help of our interns, we decided to innovate our approach. Research indicates that short, engaging video reels on social media—combining innovation, information, entertainment, and branding—can significantly enhance brand retention. We crafted a series of eye-catching reels for The Colony’s Instagram and Facebook accounts, showcasing the cottages in a fresh light. Our aim was twofold: to analyze how various content types resonate with different audiences and to offer a more intimate glimpse into the business through social media.

Making a Splash: Meet Gimga’s Summer Interns

Hi, I’m HyeJin Kim from Korea, where I studied Media Communication at Daegu University. My professors, who had studied in the U.S., inspired my interest in an American internship. I noticed that U.S. marketing emphasizes individual freedom, while Korean marketing focuses on relationship-building. The highlight of my summer internship was working with K-Food at The RAMW RAMMY Awards. This opportunity allowed me to explore various marketing techniques and refine strategies through customer interactions. I’m excited about how this experience will benefit my future career. Thank you to the wonderful Gimga team for their warm welcome and invaluable mentorship.

Hi! I’m Lucas Lee, a rising senior at VCUarts, majoring in graphic design. My summer internship at Gimga gave me real-world, hands-on experience that provided me with a better understanding of a future career in design. The thing that really struck me during my internship at Gimga was how many roles and processes the Gimga team uses in their daily work, and I learned a lot about the importance of building client relationships. I leveraged my passion for content creation and my knowledge of trends to expand Gimga’s social media presence through short-form videos. I’m grateful that the first step in my design career was at Gimga.
