As the founder and artistic director of Gimga Group, Mihae enjoys working with and mentoring the talented Gimga team whom she considers like family (Gimga means Kim family in Korean).

Prior to founding Gimga Group in 1991, she worked for several prestigious design firms in Baltimore and New York City. Mihae received her Bachelor’s in Fine Arts from the Corcoran School of Art & Design.

When she is not with her Gimga family, Mihae enjoys spending time with her husband Jeffrey, daughter Elia, and Boo Boo (her energetic malti-poo). She loves to cook, craft, decorate, travel, and plan parties! She also loves watching baseball (Go Red Sox!) and sailing off Cape Cod.
